About the Lab
The CaSPR Lab is a team of student and faculty researchers interested in developmental and social psychology research. Our primary focus at the CaSPR Lab is to improve our understanding of childhood deception (i.e., lying and cheating) and apply this knowledge to legal, forensic, clinical, and parenting contexts. We are interested in questions such as: how do children learn to tell lies and the social rules governing deceptive behaviour? What are the social or situational factors that promote honesty in childhood? How can children’s lies be reliably detected?
The lab is directed by Dr. Sarah Zanette, Assistant Professor at Luther College at the University of Regina.
